Protocol to the African Charter on Human and People’s Rights on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (ADP) - Ratification through Women-led Advocacy (ARWA)
ARWA focuses on women-led targeted advocacy for African Union member states to accelerate the ratification of the ADP. The objective of the programme is to increase participation and leadership by girl-children, young women and women with disabilities in the ADP's ratification, decision-making and policy implementation processes in Eswatini, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Mauritius, Burkina Faso and The Republic of Gambia.

Other Programmes
ADA has worked with governments, development partners, civil society organisations and other organisations of Persons with disabilities on the various fronts of advocacy, policy influencing, awareness creation, development of capacity, research and knowledge management. Some of our past programmes include:

- The Africa Alliance and Disability Rights (AADIRI) Programme
- The Sustainable Employment Strategies through Access to Inclusive Education (SESIE)
- Community of Practice on Inclusive Technical Vocational Education Training Colleges (TVET) In African (COPITA).
- Communities of Practice in Disability Advocacy for Mainstreaming (COPDAM)
- Strategy For Equitable Access and Response to COVID 19 Pandemic (SEAR) Project
- Promoting Inclusive Education (PIE) Programme
